Job Description

Benefits:

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching engaging STEAM after school lessons (potentially at multiple schools)
  • Reviewing and internalizing lesson plans
  • Prepare for classes each week (paid time)
  • Attending mandatory weekly training sessions
  • Traveling to partner school(s) in our areas of operation

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Available at least for 3 days a week, from 2:00pm-5:00pm
  • Reliable private transportation (some exceptions can be made)
  • Previous experience working with children in educational settings
  • Experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring
  • Comfortable with technology and eager to integrate it into the learning process


Compensation:

$20 - $30 per hour
 (experience based)

Class time is paid hourly, based on the time spent actively teaching. 

The Check-in Bonus is awarded for arriving early and checking in at the required time before your scheduled class. 

Class Prep Bonus recognizes the time and effort spent preparing for your lessons, including reviewing materials and organizing your teaching plan.

 Bonuses for Material Pick-Up and Drop-Off are provided for collecting and returning necessary teaching supplies from the office, ensuring you have everything needed for a successful class. 

Additionally, attending the paid Bi-Weekly Training ensures you stay up-to-date with best practices and program guidelines. These bonuses reward punctuality, preparedness, and dedication to maintaining a high-quality teaching experience.

 

 

Breakdown of teaching 3 classes in a week:

*Properly prepared and arrived on time

Class Time Total = $72 (180 mins at $24/hr )

Early Arrival Time (Check in) = $24 (60 mins at $24/h)

Check-in Bonus= $36 (90 minutes at $24/h)

Class Prep= $36 (90 minutes at $24/h)

Material Pick Up from office =  $22.50 (3 at $7.50 per)

Material Drop Off at office = $22.50 (3 at $7.50 per) 

Bi-Weekly Training Total = $24 (1 hour trainings at $24/h)

Total Compensation = $237
